Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Ask Dra. Andi and the telemedicine services provided by Dra. Andi, MD. By booking a consultation you agree to them. Please read the section on emergencies first — it matters most.

1. This service is not for emergencies

Do not use this service for medical emergencies or any life-threatening condition. If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, signs of stroke, a serious injury, thoughts of self-harm, or any condition that may be urgent, go to the nearest emergency room immediately or contact your local emergency service.

Consultations are scheduled, not immediate. There is no monitoring between appointments, and messages are not read in real time.

2. What telemedicine can and cannot do

A remote consultation is a genuine medical consultation, but it has real limits: Dra. Andi cannot physically examine you, and the assessment relies on what you describe and share. Some conditions cannot be safely diagnosed or treated without an in-person examination, imaging, or tests.

Where that is the case you will be told plainly and referred for face-to-face care. A referral is a clinical judgement made in your interest, not a failure of the consultation, and the fee for the time already spent still applies.

3. Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 years old to book for yourself. A parent or legal guardian may book for a minor and must be present for the consultation. Do not book on behalf of another adult without their knowledge and consent.

4. Your responsibilities

• Give complete and accurate information about your symptoms, history, medications, and allergies. A remote assessment is only as good as what you disclose.
• Be somewhere private, quiet, and safe for the call, with a workable connection.
• Follow the agreed plan, and seek in-person care when advised.
• Do not record the consultation without Dra. Andi’s consent.

5. Booking, fees, and payment

Fees are flat and shown before you book — currently ₱150 to ₱500 depending on the service. There are no consultation surcharges. Payment is by GCash or bank transfer, and your slot is confirmed once payment has been verified. Unconfirmed slots may be released to other patients.

The fee covers Dra. Andi’s professional time and clinical judgement. It does not cover laboratory tests, medicines, or care provided by anyone else.

6. Rescheduling, cancellation, and refunds

• You may reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 12 hours before your appointment.
• Within 12 hours, the fee is non-refundable — the slot can no longer be offered to another patient.
• If you do not attend and do not give notice, the fee is forfeited.
• If Dra. Andi has to cancel, or a technical failure on the practice’s side prevents the consultation going ahead, you will be offered a new slot or a full refund.

7. Prescriptions

Prescriptions are issued only where clinically appropriate. Booking a consultation does not entitle you to a prescription, and Dra. Andi may decline to issue one where it would not be safe or justified.

Electronic prescriptions are recognised in the Philippines and are accepted by licensed pharmacies. Note that dangerous drugs and other regulated preparations cannot be prescribed through telemedicine and require an in-person consultation.

8. Medical certificates

Certificates are issued only after a genuine clinical assessment and only where the findings support them. A certificate cannot be backdated, and a request for one that is not clinically justified will be declined — the consultation fee still applies, since the assessment was carried out.

9. Records and privacy

Your information is handled as described in the privacy policy, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

10. Availability of the service

The practice aims to keep the website and scheduling available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Consultations depend on internet connectivity on both sides and on third-party scheduling and communication tools, which can fail.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Philippine law. Subject to that, liability arising from your use of this website or the booking process is limited to the fee you paid for the consultation concerned.

This limitation applies to the website and booking service. It does not displace the professional duties and standard of care that Dra. Andi owes you as a licensed physician, which remain governed by Philippine law and PRC regulation.

12. Intellectual property

The content, branding, and design of this website belong to Ask Dra. Andi and may not be copied or reused without permission. Documents issued to you — prescriptions, certificates, laboratory requests — are yours to use for their intended purpose.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and disputes fall to the exclusive jurisdiction of Philippine courts.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force when you book is the one that applies to that consultation. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
